The Prince of Wales married Mrs Camilla Parker Bowles on 9 April 2005 at a civil ceremony at the Guildhall in Windsor, followed by a service of prayer and dedication in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

She was born Camilla Rosemary Shand, the daughter of Major Bruce and Rosalind Shand.  Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Charles' wife, was born on 17 July 1947 in London. Camilla took the title of the Duchess of Cornwall. Camilla Parker Bowles' great-aunt, Violet Trefusis, was the mistress of King Edward VII.  When Prince Charles takes the throne her officially title will be Princess Consort.
